Reporting from Whitefish, Montana for my first lifestyle family session of the fall season.
The air in Whitefish is getting cooler and my feet are beginning to demand socks. My Chacos are sad. Fear not! They will be getting more action again soon enough as I will be heading south for to see all of my Southern California families.
When I started this joy ride in 2007 some of my first families to support me were my friends from high school and work so it is no surprise to me that similar beginnings would follow me elsewhere.
In 2017 I blindly sent Jamie a friend request on Facebook because she had Weimaraner and a few mutual new friends. It was a great blind pick. Jamie is a solid, straight forward, tell it like it is, former lawyer, and a wildly talented singer/songwriter. I appreciate her and over time has become one of my close friends.
Since meeting, Jamie founded The Great Blue Song Project. A nonprofit organization in that pairs songwriters with people who are coping with illness or have lost someone.
She and the team share the gift of songwriting with those who need it most. It’s so powerful that they regularly move us to tears. She is truly a gifted #songbird and public speaker with the biggest of hearts.
While I don’t know Andy quite as well, I do know he’s a generous and kind musical foodie that crawls around in caves for fun. Small towns are funny that you can drive by a building 100 times, admire it from a afar, and then realize that the building you assume is a home design company actually specializes in river management and restoration and is I had no idea until J and I swung in to pick him up for lunch one day. I have deep respect for people that work hard to take care of our waterways. #waterislife
Cheers to people that do good in this wild world, cool teenagers, celebrating blended families, canine friends, and the kick off to a beautiful new season.
If you would like to get on my calendar please CONTACT me for details.
So, here are a few photos from our time together in the woods and at their home.
For fun! 30+ comments here in the journal and I will gift Jamie and Andy with a little something special. Everyone loves to hear nice things so please feel free to comment and share.
Franklin, is going to be 13, and I adore him like the many that have come before him. He lives to slime people and it makes him so proud as evidenced in the fun family outtakes here at the bottom of this post. Opal is the puppy of the bunch and Tansy is just the sweetest most gentle little lady in the daisies.
Jamie, Andy, The Teenagers, Tansy, Opal, and Franklin it was a pleasure to spend this time with you. I am so grateful for your friendship and support.
